project director position

What we’re looking for:

Usman Group is looking for a top-notch Creative Director to join our fast-growing team. Our clients range from medium sized businesses to Fortune 500 corporations. We need to grow our team wisely to keep up with the demand while not sacrificing our commitment to quality and client satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Work directly with clients to define requirements and design specifications, lead design and development efforts, and carry complex projects through to completion
  • Be able to speak the many languages of business, design, technology, sales, and all the other aspects of a multidisciplinary team
  • Communicate and deliver all aspects of interaction design
  • Understand current technologies and their design implications
  • Work onsite or remotely as necessary
  • Facilitate cross-functional teams throughout product definition, design and development processes
  • Conduct contextual observation studies including user profiling, mental modeling, and contextual task analysis
  • Design and conduct usability studies including formal and informal usability testing, card sorting, questionnaires and interviews
  • Analyze and present evaluation results
  • Make design recommendations based on expertise and collected data
  • Determine information architecture, taxonomy, and nomenclature
  • Design site maps/page flow
  • Developing standards
  • Develop wire frames that specify functions and layout
  • Test wire frame designs
  • Remain current in usability-related research and developments

Job requirements:

  • Experience with user-centered design process and expert interaction design skills
  • 3-5 years experience in related field
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Exude energy and enthusiasm
  • Be creative in all aspects of work
  • Possess a strong desire to learn, adapt and grow
  • Maintain commitments to deadlines, have an exemplary work ethic and a strong desire to succeed
  • Possess advanced computer skills, including a working knowledge of many of the following: XHTML, DHTML, CSS, JavaScript, ASP, Web accessibility and usability standards, Macromedia Fireworks, Flash, Freehand, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator

  • Experience with online social communities
  • Experience on globally diverse projects
  • A strong entrepreneurial spirit
  • Internationalization/localization experience
  • Experience with mobile technology design
  • A forward thinking trend setter
  • Experience with designing rich user interactions (Flash, Ajax, Aflax, etc.)
